Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using MathsGPT, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use our service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and MathsGPT.

2. Service Description

MathsGPT is an AI-powered mathematics learning platform. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the service at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service.

3. User Account

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use this service, or have parental consent if under 18
  • The information you provide must be accurate and up to date
  • You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account

4. Intellectual Property

All content on MathsGPT, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, software, and source code, is the exclusive property of MathsGPT and is protected by UK and international intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service in any fraudulent or unlawful manner
  • Disrupt or interfere with the service or servers
  • Collect information about other users without consent
  • Share your account credentials with third parties
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content

By using MathsGPT, you agree to:

  • Use the service in a reasonable and fair manner
  • Respect reasonable intervals between requests
  • Not use bots, scripts, or automated tools without permission
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

In case of excessive or abusive use, we reserve the right to:

  • Request that you temporarily reduce usage
  • Contact you to understand your requirements
  • Limit or suspend access if necessary
  • Terminate your account in severe cases

6. Subscriptions and Payments

6.1 Subscription Terms

By subscribing to a Pro plan, you agree to the following:

  • Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period
  • Price changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance
  • Payment is due immediately upon subscription or renewal
  • All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or stated in section 6.2

6.2 Refund Policy (UK Consumer Rights)

In accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of subscription:

  • You have the right to cancel your subscription within 14 days without giving any reason
  • If you cancel before using the service, a full refund will be processed within 14 days of cancellation

Important: If you use the service immediately after purchase, you explicitly consent to the service beginning within the 14-day cancellation period. By doing so, you acknowledge that you will lose your right to cancel and receive a full refund once the service has been provided to you.

6.3 Subscription Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time:

  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • You retain access to Pro features until the end of the paid period
  • No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a billing period (except during the 14-day cooling-off period)

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MathsGPT shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use or inability to use our services. This includes but is not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill.

Nothing in these terms shall exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that the AI-generated content is always correct or suitable for your specific needs.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be notified to users via email or through the service. Your continued use of the service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the service immediately, without prior notice, for any breach of these Terms of Service. Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease.
