Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By using MathsGPT you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms form a binding contract between you and MathsGPT.

2. The service

MathsGPT is an AI-powered maths learning service. We may change, suspend or stop any part of the service at any time. We are not liable to you or anyone else for such changes.

3. Your account

  • Keep your login details confidential
  • You must be 13 or over, or have parental consent if under 18
  • Give us accurate, up-to-date information
  • You are responsible for what happens on your account
  • Tell us straight away if your account is used without your permission

4. Ownership

All content and materials on MathsGPT (text, design, code, logos) belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy, redistribute or make derivative works without our written permission.

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • Use the service unlawfully or for fraud
  • Disrupt or overload the service or our systems
  • Harvest other users’ data without consent
  • Share your account with others
  • Try to access areas you are not allowed to use
  • Send viruses or harmful content

You must:

  • Use the service fairly and reasonably
  • Not overload the service (e.g. with excessive automated requests)
  • Not use bots or automation unless we agree
  • Obey all applicable laws

If we think use is excessive or abusive we may:

  • Ask you to reduce use
  • Contact you to discuss
  • Limit or suspend your access
  • End your account in serious cases

6. Subscriptions and payments

6.1 Subscription

By subscribing to Pro you agree that:

  • Your subscription renews automatically each billing period
  • We will tell you at least 30 days before any price increase
  • Payment is due when you subscribe or when each period renews
  • Fees are non-refundable except where the law says otherwise or we say in 6.2

6.2 Refunds

You may cancel anytime from your account. Refunds:

  • Cancel from account settings; access continues until the period ends
  • We may refund in our discretion (e.g. shortly after purchase with a good reason). We are not obliged to refund except where UK law requires it

Eligibility depends on the situation and the law. We will reply to refund requests promptly.

6.3 Cancellation

If you cancel:

  • Access continues until the end of the paid period
  • No further charges after cancellation
  • We do not refund for unused time in a period
  • Cancel in account settings or via contact@mathsgpt.co.uk

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential or punitive loss (e.g. lost profit, lost data, lost goodwill) from using or not being able to use the service.

Nothing in these terms removes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud, or where the law does not allow exclusion.

Our total liability to you for any claim about these terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

8. No warranty

The service is provided "as is". We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure. AI-generated answers are for learning support only; we do not guarantee they are always correct or suitable for your situation. You are responsible for verifying outputs and complying with your school, exam, and academic integrity rules.

9. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute about them or the service will be decided by the courts of England and Wales. Your statutory rights as a consumer (e.g. under the Consumer Rights Act 2015) are not affected.

10. Changes to terms

We may change these terms at any time. The new version applies when we post it. We may notify you of important changes by email or in the service; we are not obliged to notify every change. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

11. Ending your access

We may suspend or end your account and access at any time if you breach these terms. We do not have to give notice first. When access ends, your right to use the service ends immediately.
